Are you setting staff up to fail?
Do you have a staff member that exceeded your expectations over the last 12 months?
When a staff member is performing well we tend to want to reward them for this by giving them a promotion or increasing their responsibility in the business. What we may fail to see is that they are not experienced or confident enough to take on this new role, but don’t know how to tell you.

A high performing sales exec does not necessarily mean they are a good manager of people but don’t rule them out if they are willing to learn.
